K&K's Digital Service Bureau offers an a la carte menu of services to fit your needs. You can do your own input and/or output, and if you choose, your image manipulation.

Notice Results from our Digital Service Bureau are not guaranteed if images scans or files are provided by customer. Best results will come from K&K's scanners.

Image Scanning

Choose from three image scanning services (does not include film processing or storage media): Service Schedule 2 to 3 lab days

High Resolution

Up to a 60 MB file size. From 8 x 10 or smaller prints, cut negatives or transparencies up to 6x7 in size.

Medium Resolution

Up to an 18 MB file size depending on the negative size. From 8 x 10 or smaller prints, cut negatives or transparencies, 35mm to 120 size.

Low Resolution

Up to 1 MB file size. Low Resolution scans are not suitable for photographic output. From cut negatives or transparencies.

*Glassine service is not available with Medium and Low Resolution scans.

Digital Retouching

Service Schedule 2 to 3 lab days

Digital output is to a CD.

Digital Yearbooks

Service Schedule 3 to 5 lab days

Text / Camera Ready Art Scan

Text or camera ready art can be scanned and then merged with another digital image. Include a print with markings showing precise location and size of text. There is a High Resolution Scan charge for each negative used for merging.

Custom Manipulation

Custom Manipulation is available from a negative or digital file. Manipulations include: stray hair removal, extending backgrounds, swapping heads, removal of facial shine, object and people removal, a background or person is removed from one image and placed into another, an eye opening, or one expression is wanted in place of another, glass glare, photo restoration, Kolorization, etc. There is a High Resolution Scan charge for each negative used.

Digital Wall Prints

Service Schedule 5 to 7 lab days.

Digital Promo

Service Schedule 5 to 7 lab days. Promo subject must be photographed using consistent lighting, exposure and background. Subject matter can be high school dances, team photos, underclass portraits, and reunions.
